2010 Seghesio Zinfandel Sonoma County (WS90): “This racy wine is jammed with pepper and licorice, plus notes of black raspberry, roasted sage and smoke. Still youthful and unpolished, but promises much.”

2012 (CT90.9): “Compared with other wines made from Zinfandel in Columbia Valley. this is the most expensive. The price has been stable over the past year. This is above average in popularity for wines from Columbia Valley. Those who have had the pleasure to drink it don’t need any prodding but let’s just say it’s just about as good as any Zin you’ve ever had. If you like Turley-style Zin, here’s your NW version. Many buyers have told me of the fun they’ve had turning their friends on to a great Zin……………from Oregon!”

2015 (WE93)(CT91): “These Pines Vineyard vines are nearing a century in age. In the new vintage, the wine seems almost brutally powerful, with rough, rugged oak flavors that will want further bottle age to mellow. Ripe blueberry and cherry tones are matched to strong streaks of caramel, cocoa and coconut. Drink 2018–25.”

2003 Stolpman Vineyard Santa Ynez Valley (ST94): "Good deep red. Singular perfumed nose melds pinot-like red cherry, strawberry, pepper, rose petal, potpourri, lavender and thyme. Densely packed and suave, combining the weight and texture of pinot noir with very sexy, complex, syrah-typical flavors of framboise, leather, meat and pepper, with some gaminess underneath. Finishes leathery and long, with fine-grained tannins and a lingering peppery quality. With three days in the recorked bottle, this showed captivating flavors of black raspberry, dark cherry, leather and game; a wonderfully silky texture; and lovely framing acidity. An utterly fascinating syrah from vines planted on limestone." (Jan/Feb '07)

2007 Purisima Vineyard Santa Ynez Valley (AG93): “The 2007 Purisima is one of the wilder wines in this range of Syrahs. Bright red fruit, anise, fennel, tobacco, and pine all seem to jump from the glass in a wine that is all about delineation and focus. Hints of tobacco, and savory herbs add further nuance on a bright chiseled finish underpinned by a surprising amount of minerality and pure salinity. Antonio Galloni”

2008 Sleepy Hollow Vineyard Santa Lucia Highlands (RP92): “A beautiful wine, the 2008 Syrah Sleep Hollow Vineyard has lots of Old World charm with its mature, almost Hermitage-like bouquet of dried herbs, sweet blackcurrants, saddle leather, olives and decayed flowers. Medium-bodied, silky and beautifully polished, it's fully mature, yet I suspect it will hold nicely for at least a decade. It's an impressive wine from winemaker Joe Davis.”

2013 The Eyrie Vineyards Pinot noir Original Vines Reserve (RP92): ”The 2013 Pinot Noir Original Vines Reserve, from vines planted between 1965 and 1974, has a tertiary-scented bouquet, a little more rustic perhaps than the Outcrop with a light ferrous component. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, a keen line of acidity, brisk red cherry and strawberry fruit with wonderful salinity coming through on the finish. I like the structure here and it should age nicely over 12-15 years.”

2013 Cameron Pinot noir Clos Electrique Vineyard (RP91-93): “Aged in a mixture of used barrels, there is clearly exquisite red fruit expression adorning the 2013 Pinot Noir Clos Electrique, the oak extremely well integrated, all brightness and delineation with exuberant red cherry and fresh strawberry scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red cherry and wild strawberry fruit, a touch of salinity toward the finish that caresses the mouth. Long, tender and very refined. This is an excellent young "whippersnapper."”

2013 Cameron Pinot noir Abbey Ridge Vineyard (RP92-94): "From vines on their own roots that John Paul explained were strongly influenced by the necrosis during flowering (ergo yields of less than 1 ton per acre) the 2013 Pinot Noir Abbey Ridge Unfiltered has a slightly meatier nose with darker fruit than the Clos Electrique '13: blackberry, bilberry and cold stone scents. The palate is nicely poised with very fine acidity, very elegant with a silky smooth dark cherry and cassis finish that just seems to "purr." There is a flow of energy within this Pinot Noir that I hope will be in situ once bottled. Just lovely." - Neal Martin, eRobertParker.com (Mar 2015)

2013 Thomas Pinot noir Dundee Hills (Vinous92): ”Vivid red. High-toned, mineral-accented scents of red berries, cola and rose pastille, plus a hint of spice cake that emerges as the wine opens up. Silky, sharply focused raspberry and bitter cherry flavors show very good energy, picking up a touch of gaminess on the back half. Delivers a solid punch of flavors but comes off lithe, showing no rough edges. Finishes juicy, subtly smoky and very long, displaying lingering red fruit and succulent herb nuances and sneaky tannins.” (Josh Raynolds)
