The JDRF Alabama Chapter is pleased to announce our 2016 Youth Honorees. This year marks the first time the Chapter is recognizing youth volunteers for their contributions to JDRF’s mission. This select group has shown continued commitment and dedication to JDRF’s mission while heroically taking on T1D with great poise.

JDRF Alabama Chapter – 2016 Youth Honorees: Mallory Armstrong (Madison), Cameron Crouse (Tuscaloosa), John Henry Kirkpatrick (Birmingham), Emily Mefford (Madison) and Molly Russell (Birmingham).

These honorees will be presented with the JDRF Living & Giving Youth Honoree Award at the Night of Heroes Gala on April 16, 2016 at the Cahaba Grand Conference Center. As the Night of Heroes Honorees, these remarkable kids will be recognized for their outstanding commitment to JDRF’s mission and commitment to our goal of curing Type 1 Diabetes (T1D). This distinguished group of Type 1 kids are hard working, dedicated and show great poise while fighting for the cure that will one day impact their lives and so many others like them. Each of these young people commits countless hours of their days fundraising and participating in events such as JDRF’s OneWalk and Ride to Cure Diabetes. Additionally, they eagerly and selflessly donate time to JDRF in ways such as Continued Education, Advocacy and Awareness and the Fund A Cure program for the Annual Night of Heroes Gala. They are the faces of T1D.

Donate to Fund a Cure Today in honor of these great Heroes!
